re Henry Holland--- really, wtf?! When I finished and posted my latest, his latest blast came into view-- he had posted while I was composing. It is hard to know how serious to take all of these things. You feel a quick emotional tug. But, you know, lol is just about right. Yes! Re me and that Lear-- I was a party boy in SF when Lear was done--- that summer season I saw something like l'Italiana or Pasquale or something like that-- and that was it. I had to save my money for the Trocadero Transfer cover charge!! That Lear had everyone quaking in their boots--the stage moved! The orchestra was an assaulting force that tried to throttle you from the pit!! At this point in time, I was more concerned with Donizetti and making my moustache grow in darker, a m o n g o t h e r t h i n g s.
